Monster Bow and Arrow

You never known when a vampire or monster of any kind may come for you in the forest. You must be prepared. Therefore, Count's Challenge has simulated an attack of vampires and monsters at the edge of the forest.  Learn from expert marksmen how  to shoot a bow and arrow so well, that you will be able to slay any fearful creature that may cross your path without hesitation!

Children's Puppet Theatre

Live entertainment for children with babysitting service.  As you enjoy your experience at Count's Challenge, your little ones will be entertained as they watch puppet shows featuring a brave knight and fair maiden and their storybook adventures. Joined by a cast of furry friends, your child's imagination will soar as they become spectators and participants in a ''real life cartoon.'

LARP
LARP stands for Live Action Role Play.  Now your experience is complete.  Dressed in full costume, do battle as the forces of good and evil duel it out. Utilizing special safe weapon technology, perfect your fighting skills without risk of personal injury.  Many visitors consider this their favourite experience at the Count's Challenge and come frequently to participate in this unique experience, exclusive in Romania.

Count's Torture Chambers
Medieval torture techniques are displayed; Staking, Witch Burning, Decapitation, and Crucifixion.  Great for photo-opportunities and historically accurate.

Count's Citadel Marketplace

Come visit the Count's Citadel Marketplace where the local village people sell their goods under the watchful eye of the Count.   In the marketplace there is a bread baker, an iron worker, a candle maker, a glassblower, a shoemaker, a pottery worker, a weaponry and armor specialist, and a tailor. 
Coming soon; a printing press and a clothes-maker.

Inside the marketplace is the Count's Citadel Terrace, an open-air covered eating experience with live stage featuring dinner theatre and music concerts.
An open-air covered eating experience presenting a culinary adventure.   As you enjoy a scenic, panoramic view of the Bran, Moeciu, and Rasnov choose from a wide variety of eating options from adventure food (medieval-style) to traditional Romanian favourites, pre-made or prepared on the grill.

Our live stage features dinner theatre options, music concerts, and dance presentations.

All-inclusive tickets include lunch or dinner with entry.

Medieval Games
Participate in a wide-range of medieval games that are designed to help prepare you to meet the Count's Challenge.  From lance and spear throwing to 'colf' the original form of golf you will find a wide myriad of games to keep family members of all ages busy for copious amounts of time.

Costume Rental

Visitors are encouraged to dress the part; knight of fair maiden.  Costumes of all sizes available for men, women, and children

Weapons Presentation and  Knight/Maiden Transformation

Following the ''Please Touch Museum'' concept, explore a wide variety of medieval weaponry; swords, daggers, helmets, shields and see a presentation on their uses and battle techniques.  Now dressed in appropriate costume, you will also learn the basics of weapon handling or for female guests optional medieval dance lessons to complete your transformation!

Open-Air Theatre
The good Knights of Transylvania, the Vampire-Knights, and the Count himself do battle before your eyes in a audience-participatory show that will leave you with an adrenaline rush as you hold on to the edge of your seat, in a special live show you won't find anywhere else!



Transylvania Forest (The Haunted Forest)
After being expelled from their castle, the vampire legions of the Count now make their home in underground and tree forts in Transylvania Forest. Count's Challenge defends the border of Transylvania Forest from the nearby village.  If you are courageous enough you can enter the haunted forest and visit the Tomb of the Count.

Be sure to enter the forest only after applying holy water or a garlic chain. Night-time entry reserved for those with proper vampire fighting training (offered at Count's Challenge).


Tomb of the Count
In the final patch of forest before Count's Challenge -- the central defense control protecting the people of nearby villages from the Forest inhabitants, lies the Tomb of the Count.  Here the infamous count sleeps during the day.  During the night, he strolls the forest with his vampire friends while Count's Challenge's Knights of Transylvania vigilantly patrol the area for any security breaches.
